Day to Day

As you can imagine, Anthony has had a really difficult time over the last week. He said he was trying to live day to day. He has terrible sores in his mouth and all down his throat. This is just one of the horrible reactions to the chemo and radiation. This along with horrible cramping and other sickness symptoms that are associated with the Flu (but more intense). He also had a fever at one point.(Which is really bad where he does not have an immune system right now). But they put in another pic line (kind of like an IV port that goes directly to his heart) and administered anti-biotics and now the fever is under control.

Today, however, he said that he is doing better. He was able to talk on the phone better. (He has less swelling in his mouth today, so that helps him be able to talk.) I think he remains strong and optimistic.

I was joking with him and said that "When the 'End of the World' comes this Friday...
and he said, "It better not. Not after all that I've been through." :-) Saying that he is going to keep living....he has things to do...

He was joking around with me...and that is always healthy and happy to hear. :-)
Thank you for all your prayers.
