Anthony's platelets are low and he has to get another transfusion tomorrow. With every transfusion he gets, his body builds up antibodies and therefore is more likely to develop the graft vs. host disease upon recieving the bone marrow transplant (Transplant Rejection would occur with this disease).
Transplant:
If all goes well, Anthony will check into the hospital during the second week of December. He will then begin to receive intense Chemotherapy and Radiation to prepare his body for the Bone Marrow Transplant. Then his body should be ready by the third week in December and they will then do the actual transplant.
Update on Luke: Retinoblastoma is the name of what he has and he has a decent chance of saving some vision.
