Be The Match!

Sadly I was informed today that Brad was not a match for Anthony's Bone Marrow Transplant. This transplant is the next step in Anthony's treatment and is necessary for survival.

We are asking anyone out there who is interested in potentially being a Bone Marrow Transplant Donor for Anthony to join the National Registry at:
   http://marrow.org/Join/Join_the_Registry.aspx

It is simple. You answer some questions on their website then they send you a kit in the mail at no cost to you. This picture shows what comes in the kit. You simply swab the inside of your mouth in four places, attach bar-codes to mouth swabs and return in the pre-paid envelope.

Gender does not matter. Anthony's match could be a girl just as much as it could be a boy. You never know who the match is going to be. The National Registry will pay your way if you are chosen. By joining the National registry-it does mean that you could potentially be contacted to donate for someone other than Anthony in the future, but why not give when you could save a life.  Also, with improved technology they now have a way of obtaining the stem cells from the donor by simply using a 'dialysis type' blood draw. You can learn more at the above link or you can e-mail me if you have further questions.

 Be The Match!

Thank you all!
